About STELLA’S CHILD
Founded in 2013, Stella’s Child exists to support Indonesian youths from deeply disadvantaged backgrounds as they prepare to leave children’s homes and orphanages and enter the world of work. We equip these youths, aged 12-18, with the skills they need to succeed in life and break the cycle of poverty for themselves and their families.
Our approach is simple: Develop. Connect. Succeed. We are an efficient and effective grassroots organization, and our innovative interlinked programs provide life skills, real-world business experience, and employment connections necessary to access job opportunities that would otherwise be denied. We help young people develop the skills and confidence they need, connect them with mentors and opportunities, and empower them to succeed through their own abilities.
Too many disadvantaged youths enter the Indonesian workforce underprepared and under-skilled. Through our business-minded approach to positive youth development, we help young people rediscover their dreams or create new ones, then work with them to develop the necessary experience to make them real. The JTO Program is one of the ways we turn that mission into action and every ticket to this event helps fund it.
